Aldersley Leisure Village, Aldersley Road, Wolverhampton, WV6 9NW
Aldersley Leisure Village is a modern sports centre with on site bar/restaurant (reasonably priced food), plenty of free parking and good transport links to the rest of the country. Billed as 'one of the finest indoor facilities in the West Midlands region' the venue hosts a number of regional and national sporting events, so we should be well looked-after. We have arranged free overnight parking for campers, and pitching of tents, so if you are travelling a distance and wish to stay over then please contact the organisers. Directions Aldersley Leisure Village is just a few minutes from the motorway, and a couple of miles from both Wolverhampton Railway Station and National Express coach stop. A bus service runs directly to the Leisure Village. Birmingham Airport is about 20 miles away, with rail and coach links from there to Wolverhampton. Travelling by Road Approach from North Wales (A5 Shrewsbury) Leave M54 at junction 3 - A41. Enter Wolverhampton Borough along A41. Proceed approximately 1.5 miles to traffic signals at 'The Rock'. Turn left (signposted Aldersley, Codsall). Proceed for approximately a quarter of a mile and turn right into Aldersley Road (signposted Aldersley Leisure Village). Proceed through traffic signals to Aldersley Leisure Village, entrance on right. Approach from South (M1, M5) M6 to M54 Leave M6 via M54 (signposted Telford/North Wales). Leave M54, junction 2 signposted A449 to Wolverhampton. Enter Wolverhampton Borough (see below) Approach from North - M6 Exit junction 11 - Cannock (A460 to A449). Proceed along A460 to Wolverhampton for 1.5 miles. Enter Featherstone and turn right at crossroads (signposted Coven) and continue for 2 miles to 'T' junction. Turn left and proceed over hump back bridge to A449 (dual carriageway). Turn left and pass under M54. Enter Wolverhampton Borough (see below) and follow signposts for Aldersley Leisure Village. Or Exit Junction 11 - Cannock (A460 to M54 to A449) Proceed along A460 to Wolverhampton for 2 miles. Join M54 (to Telford) leave M54 after 1 mile at Junction 2 to A449 to Wolverhampton. Enter Wolverhampton Borough (see below) and follow signs for Aldersley Leisure Village. Or Exit Junction 13 - Penkridge (A449) Proceed down A449 towards Wolverhampton (watch those speed cameras!). Go through Penkridge and across the A5. Travel towards Wolverhampton staying on the A449 and pass under M54. Enter Wolverhampton Borough (see below) and follow signposts for Aldersley Leisure Village. Directions after entering Wolverhampton Borough Proceed 1.5 miles (2 traffic islands) to traffic signals; Turn right into Oxley Moor Road (signposted Aldersley Leisure Village). Proceed approximately 1.5 miles to Aldersley Leisure Village, entrance on left. Please note low bridge (13' 13") 300 yards from Aldersley Leisure Village Entrance.
