Workshops During the day we run various workshops covering beginners' and improvers' skills.
Workshops are run by volunteers, but the exact programme is dependant upon what people wish to learn (and other people are willing or able to teach). Rest assured though, that if you are a complete beginner, we will make sure that you go away having mastered the basic throws! Please check the notice boards at the registration desk for workshop times. If there is a particular workshop that you would like us to run, then please let us know. Workshop Leaders Wanted! As with all circus skills conventions, the workshop programme is largely dependant upon the willingness of attendees to spend an hour or so of their day sharing some of their knowledge. There are some very talented whip masters and mistresses out there, so it would be great to see some interesting and unusual workshops. Teach us some of your favourite tricks, or choreograph a routine for the whole group! Target cutting, long whips and double whips, too - all of these things go down well. Related skills - anyone for poi, trick roping and gun spinning? We can't pay you, but you will get a sense of satisfaction from doing your good deed for the day. Email us: whipconventionorganisers@yahoo.co.uk if you've got an idea for a workshop. Please Note: Workshops are considered as peer-led activities; and participants accept full liability for any injuries they sustain whilst participating, or whilst acting upon any information they are given. Your safety is your responsibility. For more info please visit the Safety page. Copyright.
